TwitterSnooze to Trick Twitter users

By Siddharth Gaur | May 3, 2008

TwitterWell I just started to use Twitter and I am not a fan of it, I am just trying it. Interest and love don’t grow in one day, even then that twitter had save a person from Egyptian Jail by twitting its jail update to its friends.

Now there is a new web application website www.twittersnooze.com that enables Twitter users to trick their fellow twitters. May be your are over twitted or getting flooded with twits that you don’t wanted or just this time. This new service lets you put a snooze on a particular user for a time frame from one to thirty days. In this time period you will not get any updates from him/her and the user will also not be able to know that he/she is snoozed. But if you want to notify the user you can opt for Announce Snooze on Twitter option.

It can sure help you to avoid some of your twitter lists or friends for a while in a more friendly way. But beware, ones you remove the snooze from a person then Twitter send him/her an email notifying that you are following them again. So it can cause some reactions, like “So you have turned me off?”. Also, this website stores your password in their database, so you must decide wisely that you are ready for it or not.

Twitter is Tricked I think!

I think what screws this up is that twitter sends them an email that we have again started following them.

Rather than using this, what you can do is - you can set devices updates to “Off” - so if you check your tweets on a 3rd party client(Thwirl) or on your GTalk, atleast you wont get his/her messages.
