Another Corporate Fight as AMD goes vs Intel

By Siddharth Gaur | May 7, 2008

The two big processor manufacturers AMD and Intel have decided to start another big corporate fight chapter. Yahoo! and Microsoft have just settle down after long three months of cold war. Now AMD has decided to teach Intel a lesson for what they are doing towards AMD market share.

Intel lead in the processor market with major part in normal consumer computers and AMD is widely used in servers and big networks. These two companies always had been a big rival to compete each other and now there is another point in it. AMD had filled a lawsuit against Intel in back 2005 that they are partnering with other computer manufacturers in an off league way to stop AMD distribution in there systems. They said that Intel in secret is doing deals with the big computer manufacturers like HP, Dell and others that they don’t make an AMD processor based desktop or laptop.

AMD v/s Intel

If this will go on it is very much true that AMD market will finish very quickly. This law suit got new turn when AMD recently announced that they have got some new evidence about talks between Intel and computer manufacturers companies about deals and plans against AMD. Due to the sensative nature of the new evidence, that all has been kept apart from public and media till everything is confirmed.

AMD is claiming that Intel should be punished for what they have done and doing and AMD should also be given compensation for the damage borne. All of these reports are first have to be confirmed by the court and then some decision can be taken on all this issue. The copy of the lawsuit can be viewed here in PDF.
