Apple Updates its iMac Desktops series

iMac New SeriesThe i company Apple has just updated its iMac series of Desktops. The new refreshed series will now come with a processor upto 3.06 GHz. The new series will start from around $1199 and will be powered with the latest Intel Core 2 Duo Penryn processors. Each iMac desktop will come with preinstalled Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard and iLife ‘08.

The new Mac series will also include start up configuration of 6MB L2 cache with a faster 1066 MHz front side bus and 2GB of standard RAM that can be upgraded to 4GB. For users passionate about Graphics there is Nvidia GeForce 8800 GS graphics card with 512 MB dedicated video memory.

The new series is available now on Apple Store, Apple’s retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers with these options. 20-inch 2.4 GHz iMac, 20-inch 2.66 GHz iMac, 24-inch 2.8 GHz iMac and the high end model 24-inch 3.06 GHz iMac which will cost you around $2199. The high end version iMac will include 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM, 500 GB Serial Hard Drive with 7200 RPM speed, DVD writer with 8x SuperDrive, Nvidia 8800 GS, built in iSight video camera, built in AirPort Extreme 802. 11n Wireless Networking and Bluetooth 2.1, built in Stereo Speakers and Microphone, Apple Keyboard, Mighty Mouse, Infrared Apple Remote etc.
